Valley View Barn has been lovingly constructed to produce a secure homely environment with generous rooms and fully equipped living areas all with en-suite facilities.  24hr nursing care is on hand throughout the year with visitors welcome to join our guests at anytime during the day.

A beautiful converted old English oak barn and stable block is set within 2 acres of private grounds. Having been specially designed, you will find not only the scenery, overlooking a Sussex valley breathtaking but also the attention to detail within the accommodation.

Designed to cater for 8 service users with en-suite wet rooms and private terraces plus the option of booking a linked 2 bedroom bungalow, you will find the facilities as thoughtful as the staff. All dietary requirments are catered for with food prepared and cooked onsite with local fresh produced used when possible.

With just 8 rooms available you will find the high levels of staffing allows Quality Rehabilitation/ Respite care to provide a complete care package for service users with a variety of needs. Our team are trained to facilitate care in a relaxed and informal manner.

Our Goal

Quality Rehabilitation & Respite care has been designed to ensure that quality care is available for people with a variety of conditions in a homely, warm and caring environment. Support and motivation combined with working with each individual's personal needs is paramount to our ethos.

Facilities

We have 8 rooms 7 of which are ground floor bedrooms all of which have en-suite wet

rooms. Our rooms which overlook the valley also have their own private walled terraces that open up towards the lawn and  the valley.

All the bedrooms are linked to the main barn with most enjoying a glass walk way.

Thresholds have been removed and we also have wheelchair dependent rooms for either left or right hand dependant users.

All the bedrooms are equipped with TV, DVD plus call alarms. A wide range of therapies and activities are also available.

Specialist Training

Our staffing team all undergo a two week induction training programme and are then placed with a senior member of our team so training and assessment continues

throughout the year to give visitors confidence that their needs can be met.

Who can acess rehabilitation & respite care?

Quality Rehabilitation & Respite Care can be accessed by adults who are over 18 yrs of age. Our high levels of staff does allow Valley View Barn to cater for a wide variety of individual needs and levels of dependency. All care is tailored to the individual.

People booking for the first time can do so by a number of avenues. We see self referral, subject to medical information from the guests GP or Consultants . Care Management

High levels of staffing allow us to provide a flexible care package to suit individual's needs while maintaining a relaxed and caring environment. Special diets can also be catered for on

request.

To ensure the level of care you require, comprehensive pre-admission information is obtained from guests, careers, GPs plus other health and social care professionals. This information is combined to help us create an individual care plan including risk assessments and care objectives during the stay.

This also helps us to ensure a continuity of care which is again aided by the fact that the number of guest is just 8. You really will feel a apart of the home.

Social and Entertainment Programme

We offer a varied programme very much related to the needs of the individuals within Quality Rehabilitation & Respite Care. Local trips are available plus activities within the centre. There are two lounges available plus the gardens and a large patio area for summer barbeques.

Music, DVD, TV is also available with the large old English oak barn really lending itself to an inclusive stimulating living area.

Private terraces are also on site to allow guests and that all important private space.

In addition for a small extra charge Guests can choose from Reflexology, Acupuncture, Podiatry and Indian Head massage to name just a few, also a hair dresser and beautician visit.
